Last Saturday a group of our friends and us decided to go to the tulip festival in Mt. Vernon, Washington. It was a gorgeous day so I was excited to find out that the tulips had bloomed already and that we could go see them!
The drive took a few hours (mostly due to traffic, as everyone seemed to have the same idea as us) however we had good company which made the drive fun. Plus, we all decided it was worth it once we saw the beautiful tulips.
The fields were huge and I loved all the rows of different colors. Secretly, I wanted to steal them all. Tulips are my favorite flowers, so this was a dream come true for me.
We then ended the day by going for Mexican food at a family owned restaurant called Mi Mexico before we crossed the boarder back into Canada. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. I think we basically ate a whole meal just eating the chips and salsa alone. I don’t think we had ever been that full and happy.
